| The Rim (1) Par Four 374 yards At first glance this seems a straightforward, easy hole. It is only 374 yards from the back tee and 341 from the men’s tees. Since the ball goes farther at this altitude (about 8%) this hole will play shorter. The key is position. The fairway bunker is farther than it looks (308 from the back tee) but it makes a great target and the ball will roll back to the center of the fairway. It is important to be as close to the green as possible because of the small green. The Forest (2) Par Four 476 yards The second hole is a long par 4 that plays uphill through a narrow stand of Ponderosa pines. A good tee shot left center will give you your best view of the green. It will still leave you a long iron to a fairway wood to an elevated green. Friendly Glen (3) Par Four 429 yards The third hole wraps around two fairway bunkers to the left and elevates to a well-bunkered green. The tee shot should be played to the right as the fairway slopes to the left. There is plenty of fairway past the bunkers even though it looks sparse from the tee. The Saddle (4) Par Three 205 yards The fourth hole is an uphill par 3 that plays into the prevailing wind. A large green will help the slightly errant tee shot. Use enough club for the uphill. |
