The first round lead in the Liberty Mutual Legends tournament belonged to the two former television
commentators, Jim Colbert and Andy North. The pair shot a 13-under-par 59 for a three shot lead. The
second place position was shared by three teams including the defending champions Hubert Green and
Gil Morgan, the Senior Tour rookies David Graham and Bruce Fleisher, and Lanny Wadkins and Tom
Watson all with 62s.

Jim Colbert and Andy North maintained their lead on Saturday. North had birdies on 16 and 17 to offset
a back-nine bogey and keep the pair three-strokes ahead. The duo's second-round score on Saturday
was a 66, down slightly from their best-ball score of 59 on Friday. John Mahaffey and Tom Wargo with a
64 while John Bland and Graham Marsh shot a 65. Defending champions Hubert Green and Gil Morgan
with a 66 putting these three teams in a tie for second place.

In the final round the leaders throughout the tournament, Jim Colbert and Andy North, finished in first
place. Colbert and North had a 66 Sunday and a total of 25-under-par 191. Their score was the lowest
in this event since 1994. Second place went to David Graham and Bruce Fleisher with a third round score
of 63 and a total of 24-under-par 192. The two played a good back nine which included birdies on 11,
12, 16, and 18. Third place went to the defending champions Hubert Green and Gil Morgan who finished
Sunday's round with a 65 which gave them a total of 23-under-par 193. They were one stroke ahead of John Bland and Graham Marsh.
