Jack William Nicklaus was born on January 21, 1940 in
Columbus Ohio. He turned pro in 1961 and joined the
PGA in 1962. He went on to join the Senior PGA Tour in
1990
and has won 81 PGA/Sr PGA events in his career.
He has a PGA playoff record of 13-10 and a Senior PGA
record of 2-1.
Jack has won more Major Championships
than any other player, with 20 victories
. He has won six
Masters, five PGA Championships, four US Opens, three
British Opens and two US Amateur titles.

Jack Nicklaus also has enjoyed an extremely successful
business career in addition to his tournament play with
his golf course design, named Golf World's "Golf Course
Architect of the Year," in 1993, licensing, development,
event instruction and management.
Nicklaus has been
involved in designing 214 golf courses
that are currently
open worldwide. More than 300 professional golf events
have been played on Nicklaus courses.
